Thematic Workshop on Protocol and Social Graces for newly inducted Protocol officers of KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA Assembly Secretariat, 3rd – 5th May, 2023

Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS) organized a three-day thematic workshop covering the theme “ Protocol and Social Graces” for the newly inducted Protocol Officers of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Secretariat in collaboration with Mustehkam Parlimaan from May 3rd to 5th 2023 at PIPS Campus Islamabad.

The purpose of protocol is to establish set of standards that ensure interactions between individual or groups are respectful, efficient and effective. By following established protocols, individuals can demonstrate their respect for others and show that they understand and appreciate the expectations of a particular setting or situation.  

In this context the workshop provided an opportunity to enhance the participants` skills and knowledge regarding protocol and social graces. The workshop covered various topics encompassing warrant of precedence, extending protocol to foreign delegates, on being an ambassador of the parliament, handling difficult situations, cross cultural considerations in social interactions, meeting and greeting and working in teams. The participants were taught the importance of team collaboration and how to communicate effectively in team environment as well. The training concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony by worthy Executive Director, Mr. Muhammad Anwar and with the vote of thanks by Director General PDP & C, Ms. Samer Awais.
