Mr. Khuram Shahzad joined the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services as Security Officer in 2013. Presently he is hoding the position of Deputy Director Security & Protocol. He has served in Punjab Emergency Services Rescue 1122 as a Shift Incharge for a period of five years in various cities of Punjab. During his stay in Rescue 1122, he was nominated as “Best Shift Incharge” from Sargodha region. His team won first prize in First National Rescue challenge 2009 and another prize in Second National Rescue Challenge 2010 held at Lahore, which was participated by around 50 national and international rescue teams. Mr Khuram has attended numerous trainings including urban search and rescue, advanced firefighting skills, advanced first aid and medical skills, disaster management, rescue from height, rescue from depth, water rescue etc. He has also got a diploma of health and safety officer from Skill Development Council. He has also served in Punjab education department for a period of one year. Mr. Khuram Shahzad holds M.Sc in botany followed by an M.Phil. (Botany) with distinction from University of Sargodha in addition to B.Ed and M.Ed degrees. He is currently enrolled in a doctorate program at the same university.
