The experts reiterated the need to acknowledge that key flashing points and issues that have remained unresolved i.e Kashmir and Palestine must be focused by international community. PIPS research wing provided technical expertise to Honourable Senator Sehar Kamran in preparation of complete transcriptions and Report on the all- important Seminar. These are indigenous freedom movements for decades now and they must not be undermined or equated to means of terrorism. Violence by States undertaken in form of massacre of innocent muslims in Indian city of Gujrat by the then Chief Minister Modi is one of the manifestation of naked use of aggression and violence that instigates hate among people. There was consensus that global action plan for Countering Violence and Extremism must differentiate between genuine decades old freedom struggles and terrorism by state and non-state actors. Only the solution of long standing disputes is the right way forward.
