Seminar on Best Parliamentary Practices in Pakistan for Students of Virtual University (Wah Campus).

In continuation of its efforts of making Youth aware of the Parliament and the Constitution, PIPS arranged a Seminar on “Best Parliamentary Practices in Pakistan” for students of Virtual University (Wah Campus) at PIPS Campus. In Seminar, Mr. Kashif Mahmood (Deputy Director Legislation) deliberated on “Parliament and the Legislation” and Mr. Muhammad Rizwan Manzoor (Research Officer) talked on “Parliamentary Research and PIPS Role in this”. Later on an interesting Q&A session was taken by the speakers where over 15 questions of the participants were entertained. At the closing of the Seminar a short visit of PIPS Campus was arranged for Students and later they were taken to the Senate of Pakistan for visit. The delegation was received and facilitated at Senate by Mr Tariq Bin Waheed (Director Protocol), Mr. Salman Ayub (APO) and Ms. Ayesha Noor (DD Media) where Mr. Tariq Bin Waheed gave detailed briefing to the delegation about organization and procedures of Senate of Pakistan. 21 students and a faculty member expressed their appreciation for PIPS’ initiative as a bridge between Parliament and the people.
