Legal Socialization Workshop on Right to Education 25-A, SDG-4 and Role of Parliament & Legal Fraternity, for 300 Lawyers

Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS) in collaboration with its partners Idara e Taleem o Aaghai (ITA, Lahore) organized a one day Legal Socialization Workshop on Right to Education 25-A, SDG-4, and Role of Parliament on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Quaid e Azam Hall of District Courts Rawalpindi attended by over 300 lawyers and senior students of law schools from twin cities. The session was held with the cooperation of Punjab Bar Council; Mr Muhammad Rashid Mafzool Zaka, Senior Director General (Research and Legislation)/ Executive Director PIPS conducted a comprehensive two hour interactive session on Overview of Parliament’s Role & Procedures in ensuring 25 A Right to Education followed by Question and Answer Session. Ms Bela Raza Jamil, CEO, ITA also spoke in session two on SDG 4 and responsibilities of legal fraternity. Jam-packed Quaid e Azam Hall with around 300 Members of Punjab Bar Council, Lawyers community and senior semester students of Fatimah Jinnah Women University and Best law College keenly attended the training workshop. Sayyed Tanver Sohail Shah presented the vote of thanks while President, Secretary and Office Bearers of Punjab Bar Council presented the Workshop Mementoes to PIPS Executive Director Mr Zaka, Legislative Officer Mr Abdul Nabi Solangi and Ms Bela Raza Jamil and Mr Azfan from Idara e Taleem o Aghai. PIPS and ITA are partner organization who recently signed an MoU to hold joint research and capacity building initiatives for Members Of Parliament and civil society at large.
