Mr. Haider Abbas, presently serving as Director General Finance, is a senior professional possessing multidimensional two decade long working experience in the areas of Strategic Planning, Taxation, Accounting, Internal Auditing, Public/Corporate Finances, Budgeting and Parliamentary Oversight Business. He joined PIPS in the year 2012 as Additional Director Finance (subsequently re-designated as Director Finance). He possesses experience of working at government, corporate and parliamentary organizations whereas remained part of various joint ventures undertook with renowned development agencies including AKEPB, AKRSP, Plan International, KAS, WFD, UNDP, Oxfam and British Council. By profession, he is a Fellow Member of Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan (FCMA) besides having a master degree in Economics and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from Institute of Internal Auditors of USA. He presented at various Forums and contributed research products on the topics of Economy, Budget, CPEC and Legislative Oversight. Furthermore, he also remained engaged as visiting faculty with various institutions including National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Indus University (IU) and Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan where he taught Strategic Financial Management, Business Strategy, Accounting, Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, Taxation and economics as visiting faculty.
