Seminar on Constitution, Parliament and State-Building with Grafton University College.

Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services marked another successful event in the series of efforts aimed at generating awareness among the public regarding the pertinent role parliament plays in state-building. Hosted by Grafton University College Islamabad on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at 10 am, the event was attended by 100 participants including 10 faculty members and 90 university students. The event opened up with National Anthem, followed by the recitation of Holy Quran. Mr. Shehryar Khan, Research Officer PIPS, gave the welcome remarks and presented an overview of the aims and objectives of the seminar. With the aim to acquaint the energetic young audience with Pakistan’s constitutional and parliamentary principles and values the Executive Director PIPS, Mr. Muhammad Rashid Mafzool Zaka, impressively deliberated on the “Constitution, Parliament and State-building” in Pakistan’s context. The presentation by the Executive Director attracted a host of pertinent questions from the audience which was answered during the Q & A session. Mr. Abid Hussain, Manager Compliance Grafton University College, presented vote of thanks, followed by the award of souvenir by the Executive Director PIPS to the Registrar Grafton University College, Mr. Ali Asghar Hasnain. The registrar acknowledged the tireless efforts of PIPS team and recognized the institute as a center of excellence.
