Workshop on “Communicating for Leadership” For Honorable Parliamentarians.

Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services organized a five-days’ workshop on “Communicating for Leadership” for Honorable Parliamentarians from July 18 to 22, 2016 at its Resource Center in Parliament Lodges. The workshop culminated on request from Honorable MNA Naeema Kishwar Khan. The objective of the Workshop was to help the Honorable Members of National Assembly of Pakistan to learn techniques for developing and improving oral proficiency, express themselves in English Language with confidence and ease, and remove hesitation in speaking English. The five-days’ activity was facilitated by Ms. Shagufta Aamer, Head of English Department, Army Burn Hall College for Girls, Abbottabad who spoke on the topics as varied and integrated as: building vocabulary, sentence construction, topics for speaking, importance of listening in learning any language, pattern of English language for invitation, making requests, expressing gratitude, complimenting and congratulating, apologizing/seeking permission, asking for information, talk on phone for different purposes, spoken language in use, making conversations in familiar situations, and vocalizations.
