PIPS celebrated International youth day on August 10, 2016 for the third consecutive year with the guidance and collaboration of Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF). The inaugural ceremony was graced by Honourable Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan Sardar Ayaz Sadiq who distribited PAKISTAN YOUTH CHAMPIONS AWARD TO 20 youth from across Pakistan who excelled in academia, sports, rights activism, promotion of democracy, arts and culture. General Secretary Shaza Fatimah Khawajah, MNA, welcomed the participants and the YPF launched their annual Report with support from EU IP3 project and PIPS. MNA Romina Khurshid, Mr Zafarullah Khan,Executive Director PIPS, former MNA Yasmeen Rehman, Senator Ayesha Raza Farooq, MNA Ms Laila Khan as well as 15 MNAs from various parliamentary parties took part in parallel breakout sessions on Youth Enterprenourship and Youth as agents of tolerance and peace. The closing ceremony was attended by around 110 members from civil society, academia and 12 Members of Parliament. YPF General Secretary eulogized the PIPS Research and IT as well as Human Resource wings for their support in co hosting the event for third consecutive year.
