Honorary Consuls in Pakistan, Mr. Mohamed Masud Khan (Lithuania), Mr. Ammad Rasheed (Tunisia), Mr. Assad Saifullah Khan (Czech Republic), Mr. M. Asad Ansari (Finland), and Mr. Omar Shahid Butt (Republic of Ghana) called on the Executive Director of the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS), Mr. Asim Khan Goraya, in Islamabad today, May 19, 2025, to explore avenues of mutual interest for establishing collaborative working relations.
During the meeting, Executive Director PIPS, Mr. Asim Khan Goraya, briefed the dignitaries on the Institute’s mandate and initiatives in promoting evidence-based legislation and capacity building for Members of Parliament.
Discussions centered on fostering inter-parliamentary collaboration, learning from global best practices, and enhancing institutional development. The Honorary Consuls lauded PIPS’ role in empowering legislatures in Pakistan in alignment with international standards.
It was mutually agreed to continue such meaningful engagements for advancing shared goals of democratic governance and public service excellence.
