The Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS) commenced the             Pre-Promotion Training Course for Section Officers of the National Assembly Secretariat on October 15, 2025,

The inaugural session was moderated by Mr. Taj Muhammad, Director (PDP). The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran.

Syed Zain Gillani, Director General (PDP & C), delivered welcome remarks on behalf of the Executive Director, PIPS. He highlighted that the course aims to provide a balanced blend of knowledge, practical skills, and positive attitudes essential for effective public service.

A total of 15 officers are participating in this training.
Day One featured a session by Dr. Farooq Ahmed Dar, Associate Professor, on “Introduction/Overview of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan” and “Relations between the Federation and Provinces.”

The eight-day training program will continue until October 24, 2025, covering the following key topics:

• Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly
• Legislative and Non-Legislative Business
• Minutes Writing and Communication Skills
• Team Building and Stress Management
• E-Office and Digital File Management
• Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Office Efficiency
